Join in the thrilling and health-focused fun at Texas’ largest canoe and kayak race, the Annual Buffalo Bayou Partnership Regatta! Now in its 46th year, this exciting community event invites paddlers ages 12 and up to take part in a friendly competition for a great cause.
Grab your paddle and cast off for this 15-mile, American Canoe Association sanctioned race along the scenic Buffalo Bayou. Whether you are entering competitively or paddling for pleasure, you won’t want to miss out on this longstanding Houston tradition! The race begins at 9:00 AM, letting you experience the beautiful scenery and natural wonder of the Bayou all morning long as you make your way through the course.
Those not wanting to paddle can cheer on racers along the race route or catch the outdoor fun at the finish line festivities at Sesquicentennial Park, where you can enjoy like live zydeco music, family-friendly activities, and refreshments! Plus, the proceeds go towards the Buffalo Bayou Partnership’s continued effort to revitalize the bayou, so come out and show your support with this one-of-a-kind race.
