The Houstonian invites you to ride along the Merry Mansion Bus as you transition into your holiday festivities! This popular holiday bus tour starts and ends at the beautifully decorated Houstonian Hotel, where six-foot gingerbread “Merry Mansions” are displayed in a lobby full of holiday cheer.
These gingerbread mansions are made by the hotel’s in-house pastry shop, and are replicas of actual historic homes of the Post Oak area. Tour guests can hop on a climate-controlled, deluxe motor coach with the famous Mister McKinney – Houston’s favorite historian. Tours takes place at both 3:30 pm and 5 pm.
Guests of all ages are in for a treat when with this enlightening and educational journey full of fun facts, history and glimpses into the past of Bayou Bend, Memorial Drive and many distinguished River Oaks mansions.
Tours end at The Houstonian where kids can enjoy Former First Lady Barbara Bush’s chocolate chip cookies and milk, and adults can choose a Holiday Tradition Cocktail at The Bar at The Houstonian. Reserve your spot now and embark on a Houstonian holiday experience!
